General Information The MetaClean app is a purely local tool for image optimization and metadata cleaning. The App does not require an internet connection and does not send any data to external servers or third parties. All processing operations take place exclusively on your device. After processing, temporary files are automatically cleaned up. What data is processed? The App accesses the following data and processes it locally on your device: Images from your gallery or camera: The App loads photos for the purpose of optimization and metadata cleaning. Image metadata: EXIF data (GPS location, camera information, recording date, copyright, etc.) is automatically removed during the processing operation. Temporarily processed image data: During the optimization process (scaling, compression), temporary files are created which are automatically deleted upon completion. No Data Storage MetaClean does not store any of your image data or metadata permanently. The App has no local database, no cloud storage, and no background synchronization. All processed images remain exclusively in your device gallery after the saving process. Purpose of Data Processing Processing serves exclusively the following purposes: Metadata Removal: Automated cleaning of EXIF, IPTC, and XMP metadata (including GPS location, camera data, recording date). Image Optimization: Scaling of images while maintaining the aspect ratio. Size Compression: Reduction of file size through JPEG compression. Local Saving: The optimized image is saved in your device gallery. Permissions The App requires the following permissions, all of which are necessary for the core functionality: Camera Access: To take new photos directly in the App. Gallery Access: To select existing photos for optimization. Media Library Storage Permission: To save the optimized images in your gallery. All permissions are only requested when needed ("just-in-time permissions") and can be revoked at any time in your device's system settings. Data Transfer to Third Parties No data is shared with third parties. The App: Does not send data to external servers. Does not use tracking tools or analysis services. Contains no advertisements or advertising SDKs. Has no connections to social media platforms. Does not use cloud services or external APIs. Storage Duration Since MetaClean does not store data, there is no storage duration in the traditional sense: Temporary files during processing are deleted immediately upon completion. Cleaned images remain in your device gallery until you manually delete them. The App itself does not store history data, settings, or user profiles. Your Rights As a user, you have the following rights: You can uninstall the App at any time, which automatically removes all temporary data. You can revoke permissions at any time in your device's system settings. You have full control over your original images and the optimized versions at all times. You can use the App without any data storage – no user account is created.
